History

Founded in 1920 by Mr. Marius LABORMA, our company has been family operated for three generations.

Mr. Marius LABORMA began selling bitter orange peels (coulanes). He later developed an import and production business (aromatic plants and essential oils) based mainly on the distillation and extraction of local plants and flowers, such as rose, jasmine, néroli, mimosa, violet, and iris. The stills are located at Pégomas. Company headquarters are at Vallauris.

M. Albert VIEILLE, his son-in-law, takes over in 1968 under the name "ALBERT VIEILLE S.A.". He considerably develops the import network.

"Distillation in itself is among the most natural of phenomena. When you lift your head to look at the clouds in the sky, they are but the visible forms of evaporation. And when you trample the morning dew on the grass, it is but the night's condensation."

Georges FERRANDO
